Northland’s Maungaturoto, Whangarei and Kaitaia Motorcycle Clubs invite you to challenge for club glory on three of New Zealand’s top sand tracks.

Held over a 3 weekend series:

 

Whangarei’s Ruakaka Sand Track : 12^th September 2010

(Round 1)

 

Kaitaia’s Ahipara Sand Track : 19^th September 2010

 (Round 2)

 

Maungaturoto’s Te Kopuru Sand Track : 3^rd October 2010

(Round 3)

 

RULES

All competitors must have a Maungaturoto, Kaitaia or Whangarei club membership.  You must choose one club to support for the series.  Temporary 3 week only memberships are available on the day for $20.  MNZ or day licences are not required.  Sign-on on the day.  Two classes can be ridden by a rider if entry fee paid for both.  15yr and older Juniors can ride two classes if entry fee paid for both.  Races are 10 mins plus a lap.  Format finalized on the day.  Top 10 place getters only score points in each class, tallied from lap scorers.  Prize money and trophies are worked on the total points scored over the 3 weekends.  Each competitor must complete all 3 rounds to receive prize money or trophy. Club Trophy – Top Club by total points tally over the 3 weekends.  Judges decision final.  Camping on the track is allowed.  No Dogs.

 

MINIS:  $10 entry fee for each race day – Trophies for 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd – all minis receive participation medals (no prize money)

JUNIORS & SENIORS:  $25 entry fee for each race day - Set Prize money

Sign on at 8:00am – 9:30am, riders briefing 9:45am sharp, practice round 10:00am.

 

Prizegiving will be held on the final round (round 3) @ Maungaturoto’s Te Kopuru Sand Track – Te Kopuru Rugby Club Rooms after last race and pack up.

(you must be at the prize giving to collect prize or it will be handed down to next placed)

Food will be available

Refreshments will be available to be purchased @ Te Kopuru Rugby Club Rooms.
